North East Lincolnshire Borough Council has announced temporary road closures in Cleethorpes on Wednesday, 11 November 2026, to facilitate the Armistice Day Commemorations.

Motor vehicles and cycles will be prohibited from proceeding along sections of Alexandra Road, Sea View Street (including "The Plaza" car park), and High Cliff Road between 10:00hrs and 12:00hrs. The affected sections are from the junction of Knoll Street to High Cliff Road on Alexandra Road; from New Road to Alexandra Road on Sea View Street; and from Alexandra Road to Brighton Street on High Cliff Road.
An alternative route will be available via Knoll Street, Cambridge Street, St Peters Avenue, Highgate, Thrunscoe Road, Taylors Avenue, and Queens Parade. Adjoining streets may experience short delays as the route reopens safely.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to ensure the safe facilitation of the commemorations at the Remembrance Gate. The Order will be in effect from Wednesday, 11 November 2026, for a maximum of three days, or until the event is completed. Definitive timings will be confirmed by on-site signage.
Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices. A copy of the sealed Temporary Traffic Regulation Order can be inspected on the North East Lincolnshire Council's website by searching 'Temporary TRO' or visiting Traffic regulation orders.
