DN Colleges Group is set to become the UK's first further and higher education college group recognised as Jewish Identity and Belonging Centres through a new partnership with the National Holocaust Museum.

DN Colleges Group and the National Holocaust Museum have announced a significant partnership that will see the college group become the first in the UK to be designated as Jewish Identity and Belonging Centres. This collaboration will introduce the National Holocaust Museum’s new Challenging Anti-Jewish Hate Enrichment Programme during the 2026/27 academic year.
The programme aims to provide students, apprentices, and staff with opportunities to deepen their understanding of Jewish identity, actively challenge antisemitism, and cultivate inclusive environments where a sense of belonging is paramount. It moves beyond traditional Holocaust education by exploring the diversity of Jewish life and addressing contemporary forms of anti-Jewish hate.
Through a year-long series of workshops, enrichment activities, staff development sessions, and student leadership initiatives, the colleges will pioneer environments that understand, respect, and celebrate Jewish identity. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to preparing young people for both successful careers and responsible citizenship.

"Education has a vital role to play in creating communities built on respect, understanding and inclusion. We are incredibly proud that DN Colleges Group will be the first FE and HE College Group in the country to pilot this innovative programme. We believe this programme aligns strongly with our Belonging, EDI, Personal Development, Safeguarding and Student Enrichment priorities, providing valuable opportunities for students, apprentices and staff to develop their understanding of Jewish identity, belonging, anti-Jewish hate and wider community cohesion."

The pilot programme is scheduled to run throughout the 2026/27 academic year. Learning and evaluation from this initiative will inform its future rollout to colleges across the UK. Those interested in registering their interest can do so by emailing JasmineFletcher-Holmes@holocaust.org.uk.
By establishing these centres, DN Colleges Group demonstrates a commitment to ensuring education plays a key role in combating prejudice, promoting belonging, and empowering future generations to stand against antisemitism.
