The Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust has introduced a new interactive website, named 'Support at Every Stage', to help individuals navigate the available mental health and wellbeing services. Launched on World Mental Health Day 2026, the website aims to make finding support easier by organising resources around life stages rather than clinical terminology.
The website features a unique, scrollable timeline that guides visitors through support options for different life phases, including early years, growing up, adulthood, family life, and later life, with an additional section dedicated to recovery. This approach is intended to be more relatable and accessible, enabling people to find help for themselves or others without needing to understand the complexities of NHS service structures.
Recognising that many families experience transitions at this time of year, such as children starting new school terms or teenagers heading to university, the website offers timely assistance. It also acknowledges the impact that colder days and darker nights can have on mood and wellbeing, providing support for these challenges.
The 'Support at Every Stage' initiative provides signposting to the mental health and wellbeing services offered by the Trust across Hull and East Yorkshire. The website incorporates lived experience narratives, reflecting this year's World Mental Health Day theme. Real-life stories from individuals who have accessed mental health services are featured to illustrate the positive impact of support and offer hope to others facing similar difficulties.
The Trust plans ongoing development for the website, intending to add new content and resources to ensure it continues to meet the evolving needs of local communities. The website can be accessed at www.support.humber.nhs.uk.
