New traffic management measures are being implemented on Sea Road in Cleethorpes from November 2 to facilitate critical drainage works, affecting access to Central Prom and local bus services.

Essential drainage works are set to commence on Sea Road in Cleethorpes, necessitating changes to traffic management. These works, which were previously postponed from the summer, are now critical for the progress of ongoing building developments.
From November 2, to avoid the half-term period, access to Central Prom will be restricted to entry solely from Sea Road. Traffic will operate on a one-way system, directed from the Pier towards Brighton Slipway.
The bus stop located on the "down" side of Sea Road will be temporarily suspended. Passengers are advised to follow instructions provided by Stagecoach regarding alternative stops.
During the completion of the water connection, there will be further alterations to the traffic management on site. Pedestrians and vehicles must adhere to the signage in place, which includes the temporary closure of the zebra crossing at the Pier. This crossing will be relocated approximately 50 metres to the south, opposite King Pin.
Upon completion of the water connection, Central Prom will be reopened to traffic as normal, ensuring continued access to all businesses throughout the period.
The overall project is scheduled to continue into mid-2027. It aims to provide new toilet facilities for the resort, including a Changing Places facility, and will also feature a new food and drink operator.
