Parents and carers of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in North East Lincolnshire are being urged to complete the annual SEND survey to share their experiences and help shape future services.

The survey provides families with an opportunity to voice their opinions on SEND services, highlighting what is working well and identifying areas that require improvement. Feedback from previous surveys has already influenced developments across education, health, and social care services, as well as information and guidance related to SEND.
Ann-Marie Matson, Director of Children’s Services at North East Lincolnshire Council, emphasised the importance of the survey. "This year’s survey will help us understand the priorities of families and ensure future improvements are informed by lived experience," she stated. "We gather insight about SEND broadly across our services, but we hope to reach many more parents and carers and children and young people through the annual SEND survey. The voices of parents and carers are vital. We want to hear about your experiences, both positive and challenging, so we can better understand what matters most to local families. Every response helps us build a clearer picture of how SEND services are working and where we need to focus our efforts."
Completing the survey takes only a few minutes. It is open from Monday 2 November until Monday 14 December. Parents and carers can access the survey online at https://tell-us.questionpro.eu/SENDannualsurvey. Children and young people can also complete their own version of the survey at https://tell-us.questionpro.eu/SEND-CYPSurvey.
The council encourages everyone to participate, stating, "Every voice matters. Help us shape the future of SEND services in North East Lincolnshire." Further engagement opportunities, including these surveys, can be found on the SEND Local Offer, ‘Have your say page’.
