North Lindsey College welcomed over 1,000 visitors, including prospective students and families from across North Lincolnshire and beyond, to its October Open Event on Tuesday 13th October.

The event provided an opportunity for 785 prospective students and their families to engage with tutors, explore specialist facilities, and learn about the college's extensive vocational courses, apprenticeships, adult learning, and higher education programmes offered through University Campus North Lincolnshire (UCNL).
Tutors and current students showcased training facilities across a range of subjects, including construction, motor vehicle, health and social care, education and early years, digital technologies, engineering, hair and beauty, animal management, business, and sport.
Specialist areas highlighted included the Engineering Technology Centre, hair and beauty salons, and the Lindsey Building, which houses the college's all-electric catering kitchens, an upgraded air cabin, and a dedicated SEND area with a simulated apartment.
The college also emphasised its ongoing investment in facilities and curriculum, including recently launched Esports courses supported by a specialist suite designed to develop skills in teamwork, communication, marketing, and design.
Looking forward, plans are underway for a £2.5 million redevelopment of the college's construction facilities, reinforcing its commitment to providing industry-relevant learning environments.
Visitors could also discuss support services, transport links, financial assistance, and progression opportunities. The central dining hall, coffee bar, and Learning Resource Centre were also open for exploration.

I was impressed with the layout, the standard of the workspaces, and the informative staff, who chatted to us about the course. This experience made the decision of where my daughter wants to go a breeze.”
