Jayne Greenhough, a Clinical Skills Tutor at the Trust, has received a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Award for Commitment to Quality of Care. The award recognises her significant contributions to developing and supporting the Trust’s non-registered workforce.
The Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Midwifery Officer Awards, organised by NHS England, celebrate the substantial impact made by nurses, midwives, and healthcare support workers across the country who consistently embody NHS values.
Over her nearly four-decade career at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, Jayne has been instrumental in equipping Band 2 and Band 3 colleagues with the necessary skills and confidence for safe, compassionate patient care. She achieves this through the Care Certificate and Health Care Academy programmes, guiding staff new to the healthcare sector.
Furthermore, Jayne provides support to Band 3 apprentices, collaborating with local colleges and ward managers to help apprentices integrate their learning into practical, on-the-job development.
“"Jayne plays an important role in supporting our workforce and developing the next generation of NHS colleagues, helping them build the skills and confidence to provide the best possible care for our patients. We’re delighted to see her work recognised at a national level."
Colleagues from NHS England presented the award to Jayne, acknowledging the impressive impact of her long-standing dedication.
