As part of the national Stop Social Housing Stigma campaign, Berneslai Homes is encouraging residents to contribute to shaping local activities. The campaign aims to celebrate social housing and its residents by breaking down stereotypes.
Until the end of November 2026, tenants and leaseholders in Barnsley are asked for their thoughts on social housing stigma, the language used to discuss homes and services, and what makes their communities special. This feedback will be used to challenge stigma and foster pride.
A short survey, taking only a few minutes to complete, is part of Berneslai Homes' commitment to listening to residents. The organisation is keen to hear from as many people as possible, building on existing work with tenant involvement groups.
Participants who complete the survey can enter a prize draw to win £100 in shopping vouchers and can opt-in to future campaign activities. The survey closes at 5pm on Monday 30 November 2026.
Feedback will inform the Berneslai Homes tenant and resident engagement programme for 2027-28. Responses will be combined and analysed anonymously, though participants can choose to provide contact details for the prize draw and future involvement.
For more information on getting involved with Berneslai Homes, residents can visit the 'Get Involved' page on their website.
