North East Lincolnshire Council and service provider Lincs Inspire are inviting residents and local stakeholders to join a new Libraries Advisory Board to help shape the future of library services.

The Advisory Board, which will initially run for a trial period of two years, aims to leverage the personal and professional experience, networks, skills, and knowledge of its 12 members. This initiative stems from a key recommendation of a recent Select Committee review into the future of library services in North East Lincolnshire.
Board members will play a crucial role in the development of future strategy for the North East Lincolnshire Library service, working in partnership with both the Council and Lincs Inspire Limited. The voluntary role is ideal for individuals passionate about public libraries and possessing expertise in areas such as education, literacy, lifelong learning, funding, community engagement, digital inclusivity, community demographics, health and wellbeing, and marketing.
Meetings are scheduled to take place quarterly, with in-person attendance preferred where possible, though hybrid arrangements will be available. Sub-groups may also be formed to focus on specific development areas, with volunteers from the Board being sought for these tasks.
Interested individuals can find more information about the role and apply via the 'Latest Jobs' section on www.nelincs.gov.uk/jobs-and-careers. The closing date for applications is 29 November 2026.
